We wanted to build a small cabin like home on our 20 acres in Bosque County and had a floor plan in mind, when we met with Kenneth and Bettye. From a few conversations, Kenneth asked questions about what we wanted, and was able to draw the layout of the house so we could see what would be involved. He helped us flush out several ideas and point out problem areas.

We were looking for a company that showed concern for what was important to us. Due to the remote nature of our location, we didn't want to visit, and find everything was wrong. Kenneth saw to it that everything we had concerns about was addressed. Kenneth did a fantastic job organizing all the contractors, working with them, and keeping us informed of the schedule and costs. It really helped that he was able to partner with local sub-contractors to reduce travel up-charges.

As the build proceeded, a few changes came up and Kenneth was able to recommend options and suggestions for keeping the costs down for our budget. From start to finish, the entire process was very pleasant. Kenneth is very good at what he does, building custom homes. We are extremely pleased with the size, layout and look of our house.

We recently remodeled our bathroom and kitchen. We became aware of Holiday Custom Homes by referral from another of their clients. Kenneth and his crew did a great job and finished the project in a timely manner and with great attention to detail. There were really 3 areas that stood out to us while we went through the selection process and then the construction itself:

Imagination – We had done a lot of thinking about how we wanted our bathroom to look, but didn’t know how it would actually be built. Kenneth did a great job listening to our ideas and then talking about different ways of actually completing each detail. He didn’t just do everything the way he was used to doing it; instead, he was willing to listen until he understood what was important to us, and then try to make those ideas a reality.
Practicality – It would be easy for a builder to inflate the cost of a project by just doing whatever the customer said, regardless of the cost. We weren’t trying to cut corners on the project, but Kenneth helped us think about the costs of materials and solutions. In many cases he thought of ways to achieve a great solution at a lot less cost than our initial idea. We didn’t always go down the less expensive path, but the important thing is that Kenneth always presented it to us. Besides saving us money, he also increased my confidence in him with each issue that he helped us resolve. I like thinking that the builder is concerned about the customer’s money, and Kenneth certainly was.
Urgency – With past builders, the biggest frustration is often days where they don’t show up at all to work. Kenneth showed up early on the first day and his team went to work and did an enormous amount of work. He continued with that same sense of urgency throughout the project. He was always working to get things finished, instead of just doing a bit at a time. Because of this, when there were issues, I knew it wasn’t Kenneth just off on another job, I knew that any issues were due to subs. It’s a very comforting feeling to have confidence that your builder is just as focused on getting the work done quickly as you are.

Really, we couldn’t have been happier with the results or the remodeling process. We are very satisfied customers!

When it's time to build your dream home, finding the right builder is important. After much research, I found Bettye Henderson. I admired some of the other houses she had built but none of them were exactly right for me. We discussed what I wanted, found a beautiful lot in RiverBend Estates, and began the building process. I'm sure I was a difficult client. I wanted more windows, a walk-in shower, a tile roof-the requests were endless. But Bettye never faltered. When I requested four more windows in the living area, she didn't argue-the next week they were framed in and ready for completion. With every request she would give me a price for the extra-always a reasonable amount-and proceed to make my dreams come true. There were some setbacks due to rain at the wrong time, but she simply cleaned up the mess and continued. I was always impressed, and still am, at her calm ability to solve the inevitable problems and suggest solutions that hadn't occurred to me. The house was finished close to the time she had promised and I moved in just before Christmas in 1996. After nine years I still have no complaints about the finished product. It is truly the home of which I always dreamed. I am happy to recommend Bettye and Kenneth Henderson as remarkable builders.

We have known Kenneth and Bettye Henderson for about four years. During that time we have had the pleasure of being guests in their home. Many times we have toured their home as well as other homes they have built. Last spring we decided that we needed to do some remodeling on our home in Cleburne, Texas. We approached Kenneth and Bettye to see if they would consider helping us with this job. Both were more than helpful to us in offering advice and guidance that we needed to undertake such a task. They are extremely knowledgeable in products, costs, designs, and in planning how we needed to proceed. At that time we hired Kenneth to be the general contractor for all the repairs and remodeling we wanted. He and Bettye handled every detail for us. This remodeling included replacing all the windows in our home with energy efficient windows,replacing the duct work for our central ac/heat unit in the attic, replacing the entire ac/heat unit with a more energy efficient unit, and installing more insulation in the attic. We also replaced all the carpet and vinyl in our home with ceramic tile. Bettye was very helpful in supplying us with samples to choose from and in helping us make the best decision for our home decor. Kenneth also made some repairs to inside walls that had cracks in the sheet rock. To finish off our remodeling, we had all the wood trim on our brick home repainted. We didn't have to worry about a thing. Kenneth and Bettye handled every detail. Now we feel like we have a beautiful new energy efficient home. We would highly recommend Kenneth and Bettye and Holiday Custom Homes for any remodeling or repair job you have.
